2019 San Francisco International Wine Competition – Silver
Viognier, an aromatic white grape that originally comes form the Rhone region of France, this grape is becoming increasingly popular in British Columbia. We are very lucky to be able to produce enough Viognier to turn it into Icewine as Viognier is extremely hard to grow. It is prone to mildew, and it almost went extinct in the 1960s. However, this grape varietal grows best in British Columbia due to our warmer climate. This icewine has a taste most reminiscent of mango and apricot, with hints of honey. While it gives off a very floral scent.
