Riesling

2017 BC BRITISH COLUMBIA WHITE WINE

10.5% alc. 750ml

Riesling is a white grape varietal which originated in the Rhine region. The grapes are also grown in British Columbia, most notably in west Kelowna and the Kaleden Region of Penticton.

The flavor of the Riesling grape is influenced like no other wine by the soil in which it is grown. Most people think of Riesling as a sweet wine but in reality the taste can range from very dry to very sweet.

VINTAGE REPORT:

2017 was a great year for grapes in the Okanagan. The growing season was without abnormalities and the grapes produced had exceptional flavor and balanced tannins with nice natural acidity, and beautiful complexity.

TASTING NOTES:

Lulu Island’s Riesling is crisp and dry with an underlying fruitiness. Our lighter crisp Riesling pairs extremely well with sushi, seafood, also with Asian cuisine such as Thai and Chinese food.
