By blending Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot, this Meritage has a beautiful deep ruby hue. It is a sensual red that finished smooth and easy.
The Okanagan Valley wine region is home to he only desert in Canada. There is an average of 1551 growing degree days. Soils are very deep sandy glaciofluvial materials overlying granite bedrock. Osoyoos is officially Canada’s hottest spot, this is red wine country.
Black Cherry, Black Plums, Cassis, Cedar, Clove, Plum and Vanilla. This wine pairs beautifully with rich cuts of red meat or wild game meats. Barbeque, beef stew, or roasted rack of lamb would also work well. Strong cheese such as Stilton, Gruyere, or Asiago are a nice option as well.
